Independent Audit Management
Your Annual SMSF Audit, Professionally Coordinated
Your Compliance Safety Net
Every SMSF must undergo an annual audit by an independent, ASIC-approved SMSF auditor. The audit process is essential, but it can be time-consuming if your records aren’t organised.
At Allied Accounting Group, we prepare, organise and coordinate the audit process on your behalf, working with independent auditors so the process is as smooth and efficient as possible.
What’s Involved in the Audit Process
We support you through the full audit cycle by:
1

Preparation & Organisation
- Preparing your fund’s financial statements and associated documentation
- Collating bank statements, investment records, contribution and pension records, and trustee minutes
- Ensuring the auditor has access to the information they need upfront
2

Independent Auditor Review
- Engaging with an independent ASIC-approved SMSF auditor
- Providing requested documents and clarifications to the auditor
- Acting as the primary contact point during the audit process
3

Issue Resolution & Reporting Support
- Assisting you in responding to any questions raised by the auditor
- Helping you understand any issues identified and what steps may be needed to address them
4

ATO Lodgement
- Finalising the fund’s annual accounts and tax return after the audit
- Ensuring audit outcomes are correctly reflected in the fund’s reporting
The auditor remains fully independent and is responsible for forming their own opinion about your fund’s compliance.
